where are you located?

I am based in Roscoe, Illinois. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you are not in my area! I have travel availability for the entire Midwest and beyond!

can you edit that out?

Yes. Anything I find distracting to the image, such as objects, blemishes, etc. will be removed from the image unless otherwise stated by client. This is why I am always saying “Don’t worry, I will edit that out later!”.

how do I prepare for my session?

I have a session guide with A TON of info included on how to prepare, no matter what type of session you are doing. The guides are linked below!

can you fix my horse’s ears?

Yes. The amazing tools in Photoshop will allow me to fix ears if necessary. I have also fixed other body parts as well, but the goal is to be as picture perfect as possible during the session to eliminate the additional editing.

can you photograph my horses together?

If your horses are well acquainted with one another and will behave, then absolutely! If this isn’t the case, but you still want images of them together, I can photograph them separately, then make the magic happen in Photoshop!

how should I prepare my horse?

Your horse should be looking its best. This includes a clean and groomed horse along with clean tack. If you normally clip your horse, ensure that they are clipped nicely and with enough advance where their coat looks as perfect as possible. We want your horse to look their best during your session, whether its equine portraiture or horse & rider. If there are small scars or other blemishes that are unable to be covered up and you would like them removed, I can do that in my editing process. Your horse should also be lunged beforehand if they tend to misbehave when they have excess energy. This prevents any mishaps from occurring and keeps everyone safe.

what should I wear?

This question is one that some photographers will be extremely influential on. Personally, I want you to wear what you feel suits you best. At the time of booking, I will be sending you a detailed session guide that gives suggestions on what you can wear for your photos. If you are still unsure after going through the guide, you can feel free to send me a message! I also highly recommend Pinterest, as there are lots of ideas on there!

what if I want to upgrade my session when you arrive?

This is a very common occurrence and I am more than happy to work with you on this! I require payment on or before the session date, so if you decide you want to upgrade, you can pay the additional costs the day of your session or by a due date that will be given to you along with an additional invoice.

can I include my dog in my session?

Absolutely! I encourage you to bring your canine companions to join in on your session! I personally love dogs and find that they can add a lot to your images. If you are looking to have a separate session just for your dog, that is an option! Contact me before booking if this is what you are interested in!

what if I want to use my photos for commercial use?

I have several clients that use their images for advertising in magazines and online. If you are wanting the images for your business website, branding, or personal advertising, please let me know before our session date and I will send you over a commercial use contract!

how long before I receive my photos?

My turnaround time for a regular session is 2-3 weeks. This can vary depending on the type of session you booked and the time of year. Summer and Fall are my busiest seasons, so delivery times may get extended to 5+ weeks. At the time of your session, I will be able to give you a more accurate estimate on your gallery delivery date, but it is still likely to change based on my workload. If you need your photos by a certain date, please let me know before our session, as I will have the notice and be able to accommodate your deadlines!

how can I pay you?

I currently accept payments through check, cash, Venmo, or PayPal. More information on this will be given to you at time of booking. If there is a payment method not listed that you would prefer to use, please feel free to contact me about it, as I may be able to work with you on it!

I have something specific in mind, but it isn’t on your website. can we still schedule a session?

My answer to this is OF COURSE! As mentioned throughout my site, I have packages I offer that are not currently listed on my site, as they are not very popular. If you are looking for a more unique experience or anything that isn’t listed as a package or session, reach out to me and we can customize a session package just for you!
